The SSS Island
Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten
The '3' S' s', Saba, Sint Eustatius (Statia) and Sint Maarten lie 880 km North of the rest of the Netherlands Antilles group lying off the coast of Venezuela, and know as the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao). Each has a distinct character and flavor, Statia being the poorest, Saba the smallest and Sint Maarten the most developed and richest.

Lacking in natural resources, they each depend to a greater or lesser degree on tourism for their foreign exchange revenues, but are developing their potential in different ways. Saba's strength is the richness of the underwater world surrounding the island and is noted for its pristine diving locations. Sint Maarten has the best beaches and resorts, while St. Eustatius promotes its historical associations.

Sint Maarten /Saint Martin
Situated in the Northeastern Caribbean (150 Miles east of Puerto Rico) Sint Maarten / Saint Martin is the smallest land mass in the world to ever divided between two sovereign powers.

Delightfully Dutch and Fantastically French, the 37 square-mile island boasts over 350 years of peaceful co-existence between peoples of two distinct national cultures..

Saba Dutch Caribbean
Saba is a five square mile island in the northeastern Caribbean, 28 miles south of St. Maarten. Together with Statia, these three islands form the Windward Islands.

Known as the "Unspoiled Queen," Saba earns this reputation from her rich, tropical, natural, beauty. At 2,864 feet above sea level, a dense rain forest often peeks out from a light, cool cloud of moisture.

St. Eustatius  /Statia
Statia was discovered in 1493 by Christopher Columbus. Throughout a swaggering colonial era that followed, the island had changed hands at least 22 times

In 1636, near the close of the 80 year war between Holland and Spain, the Dutch took possession. During the 17th and 18th century, Statia was a major trading center with some 20,000 inhabitants and thousands of ships calling at her shores.
